FORNASETTI, Milan-painter, sculptor, interior
decorator, engraver of art books, maker of more than
11,000 items, of sceneries and costumes, organizer of
international exhibitions and events. As far as the variety
of decorations is concerned, Fornasetti made one of our
century's largest production of objects and furniture.
The lesson deriving from his oeuvre is severity with a
strong imagination and an elegant and mystical sense of
humor. Fornasetti's son, Barnaba, is perpetuating the
workshop tradition, continuing the production and reviving
the most popular pieces, creating new ones, repeating
hand crafted production, with the collaboration also of
industries which manufacture under license. This is how
a collection of new products was born: from fashion
accessories, such as ties, scarves, waistcoats, umbrellas,
to hold house articles, such as china, furniture, lamps,
fabrics, linen, radiators, tiles and other items in thousands,
thereby spreading joy into our everyday life, which is of
late full of minimalist and "expiatory purism".
